Our purpose is to better each other and the world around us through the vehicle of fitness. Just as iron sharpens iron, we sharpen one another. CrossFit Eternal is proud to host “Murph for Mutts!”, a competition with all proceeds to benefit these local charities. The workout, “Murph” is in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. Event/Competition Details: Teams of 2 Weighted = 5lb bag of dog food, whomever is working must have the bag 1 mile run as a team (each teammember runs 800M, trade off as you need with the bag of dog food) Only 1 athlete can be working at a time for these exercises: 100 pullups, as a team 200 pushups, as a team 300 squats, as a team 1 mile final run as a team (each teammember runs 800M, trade off carrying as you need, the bag of dog food) ALL OF THE ABOVE FOR TIME! Everything is scalable! Can’t do pullups? No prob! Band assisted or ring rows! Can’t do push-ups…no prob – knee push-ups! And there are prizes for modified workouts as well! Everyone can play! “The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. Weâ€™ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts.
